About Me
My Journey
My name is Tovar Holmes and I am passionate about soul care, self-care and growing in a deeper more intimate relationship with God. I’m a writer of Christian devotionals and poetry which has been given by God as a beautiful spiritual gift to connect my spirit with His and others. After receiving a certificate of completion in training in spiritual direction at Kairos University, I have been drawn by the Spirit to walk alongside those who are wishing to grow in their relationship with God, journeying through trauma recovery or going through a life crisis. As a companion to those experiencing spiritual awakenings and navigating the challenges that come along with it, I’m here to listen with you.
In church ministry, it’s been my pleasure to teach in areas which support the growth and spiritual health of new and developing believers in Christ. Likewise, continuing my spiritual growth has been an ongoing staple in my life.
I’ve enjoyed a lifelong career as a speech language pathologist specializing in educational settings and community outreach. My husband Trent and I have been married for over three decades and we have three adult sons and one precious granddaughter. In my “free” time, you will find me listening to books on audible, dabbling in the garden, and going on walks. I also love reading and music.
Together we can dive deeper into the true meaning of spirituality through the lens of your life experience as we walk with the endearing voice of the Holy Spirit. How does He speak to you? Let’s listen together and allow the Spirit to be our guide.
Services
Spiritual Direction – Deepen Your Spirituality
Spiritual Direction is considered holy listening. It is conversation and listening in the context of a trusting relationship consisting of you and the spiritual director, also considered a faith companion. With God present and active in your daily life, a director focuses their attention on your self discovery and spiritual experience as God moves in your life. In conversation, we discern God's presence and ways He may speak to you as He guides you in your endeavors. Spiritual Direction is not analyzing or fixing you, although it may involve deep personal sharing.
In Spiritual Direction, the directee and director enter into a confidential covenant. A frequency (typically once a month or so) and time are discussed and agreed upon. Either party is free to terminate the relationship for any reason.

Spiritual Retreats
The retreat services focus on personalized experiences that foster spiritual growth and development of a deeper relationship with God. Participants are given opportunities for prayer and devotional practices through periods of silence and solitude. Safe environments are provided for sharing, healing and developing connections with others.
